If you are arriving in your own car, please use our Paulus Potter entrance located at Paulus Potterstraat 50. If your navigation system can’t find number 50, please enter number 44 instead; you will find the entrance immediately.
The hotel has limited parking space on site, so please mind that valet parking may use an external parking garage to park your car. We advise you to remove valuable items from your car when parking outside the hotel. At the moment we can only accept parking for hotel guest with a reservation for an overnight stay. Valet parking is subject to charge. Charges are hourly for short stays with a maximum of €95,- per 24 hours.
If you are arriving in Amsterdam by Eurostar, depart the train at Schiphol Airport and follow the directions below. If you are arriving with the ICE train, please follow the directions from Central Station. Taxis are also available at Central Station. A taxi ride to the hotel should cost about €25,- and take around 30 minutes. When leaving the hotel towards Central Station to catch your train upon departure, we recommend to leave 45 minutes in advance. Please only use official taxis.

By public transport, bus number 397 leaves the airport next to the taxi stand and stops at the Museum square (Museumplein), which is a three- minute walk to the hotel. Tickets are about €5,-. Please be informed limited tickets are sold by the driver. Learn more about using your debit/credit card for public transport here. Transfer time is approximately 40 minutes.
We offer bike racks and storage facilities for your bike. Additionally, if desired, we can provide changing rooms. We offer rental bikes should you not be in the possession of a bike. Kindly inform our concierges should you wish to use the hotel bikes.

There is no dress code in the hotel nor for Taiko cuisine, Taiko Bar and BARBOUNIA.
The use of so called soft drugs/hash or marijuana is not allowed in the public areas, nor do we allow the use of nitrous oxide. The use of soft drugs on the premises is not allowed. Smoking of cigarettes is only allowed outside the building. In case of smoking in the room, you will be charge with a full room night smoking fine.
Yes, babies and children are welcome at the Conservatorium hotel. A baby-cot can be placed in all room types starting from the Deluxe Room. Children 0-12 years old stay complimentary in the room with parents. For children until 12 years old an extra bed can be placed in the same room from the Junior Suite room category and up. A supplement of €100,- per night applies for the third person. Children between 0-3 years old can make use of our breakfast free of charge, children from 4-12 years old can make use of our breakfast with a discount of 50%, children from 13 years old can make use of our breakfast for the standard rate. Junior visitors from age 3 to 14 are welcome under guidance of an adult in our Akasha spa every day during two different timeslots: 10 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. A maximum of two junior visitors per adult are allowed.
Yes, our connecting rooms have one door accessing from the main corridor in front of the two individual hotel room doors. When the rooms are used as connecting, this shared door leading onto the corridor will be kept closed and both individual room doors will be opened. This creates a private combined entrance hall which makes both rooms connect with each other. A selection of Rooms and Suites are available as connecting rooms including the following room types; Deluxe Room, Deluxe Duplex Room and Junior Suites. Our connecting Conservatorium Suites have one door from the main corridor which can be closed when the Suites are used as connecting. When closed, a combined entrance hall is created with a staircase leading up to one suite and another staircase leading down to the other suite. This combined staircase connects both Suites to each other. The Concerto Two Bedroom Suite offers a connecting room, connecting a Grand Junior Suite with the Concerto Suite. Our connecting Concerto Two Bedroom Suite has one door from the main corridor which can be closed when the Suite is being used as connecting. When closed, it creates a two-bedroom home in the heart of a luxury hotel.
Dogs are not allowed in our Food & Beverage outlets and Akasha, with the exception of the Lobby Lounge and the terrace of BARBOUNIA (this only applies to dogs up to a medium size 75lbs / 34kg). This exclusion does not apply to guide dogs. Medium pets are allowed (max. 75lbs / 34kg) for Suite guests only. An extra room cleaning charge of €75,- per pet per night will be added to the guest account. For the full terms and conditions please inform with our reservations department.
We offer Twin Bed, Queen Size Bed, King Bed and Super King Bed. The bed sizes depend on the room category.

Best available rates in our booking engine are based on single occupancy and are quoted including VAT, excluding 12,5% city tax per room per night. Both VAT and city tax, enforced by the government, are subject to change.

The minimum age to stay at the hotel without a guarantor is 18 years old. A guarantor is required for guests under 18 years old to stay at the hotel, otherwise check-in is not possible.

The main entrance is located at the Paulus Potterstraat. The main entrance will bring you to our lobby. From here, you can reach our reception, Lounge and BARBOUNIA. From the lobby, you are able to take the lift to our public toilets. The same lift also brings you to our first floor. Here you can find the Van Baerle Shopping Gallery and Taiko Cuisine and bar.
The Conservatorium hotel has two rooms especially equipped for guests with mobility impairments. The room itself is spacious, easy to reach with a wheelchair and all facilities are located at the same level. These rooms offer a spacious bathroom, which are wheelchair accessible. The toilet is raised and both toilet and shower have support handles on both sides. The shower also contains support handles.
All meeting and events rooms are easy to reach via the lift in the hotel lobby.
Akasha is accessible by the main lifts in the lobby. The gym and the accessible changing rooms including shower and toilet are available in the reception level of the spa.

Our Spa Day Pass Deluxe includes a complimentary fresh juice and fruit platter. Other items are subjected to a surcharge.

Treatments booked for Monday – Thursday include two hours to the pool, jacuzzi and hammam, before or after your treatment.

About
The hotel has a total of 129 rooms. 49 Deluxe Rooms and 60 Suites. From the 60 Suites there are three Signature Suites; the Concerto Two Bedroom Suite, the I Love Amsterdam Suite and the Penthouse Suite.
The hotel was originally built as the Rijkspostspaarbank in 1897. The building was conceived by Dutch architect Daniel Knuttel. In 2008 the building began its evolution into the Conservatorium hotel opening its doors in December 2011.
